Strange Barite Crystals from Sierra County New Mexico
"Peculiraly Crystallized Barite"
(Ladoo, 1927)
When I first found these crystals I thought they were Wulfenite.
After a little research I discovered they are very unique Barite Crystals
All specimens in this section are from the
Nakaye Mine, Derry District,
Sierra County, New Mexico

Unique Microcrystal Barite Specimens

100s of intergrown Barite crystals in this vug.
Many are well termanated.
Also has several veins of Aqua colored Fluorite.
The largest crystal measures 4mm by 4mm.
Specimen size; 1-3/4" (44mm) by 1-3/8" (35mm) by 1-1/4" (32mm).
The pictured vug measures 3/4" by 3/4".
There are several other minor vugs with good crystals.

Many GREAT Cream colored crystals on the top of this specimen.
Some damaged crystals but most are in good shape.
